Deep in the South American jungle plantation manager Barney Chavez (Raymond Burr) kills his elderly employer in order to get to his beautiful wife (Barbara Payton). Maciste alpino è un film del 1916 (e non del 1914 come spesso è scritto, anno in cui per l'Italia la Grande Guerra non era ancora cominciata), di Luigi Romano Borgnetto e Luigi Maggi con Bartolomeo Pagano nel ruolo di Maciste.
