A street kid has dreams of becoming a jockey. He gets his chance when he and his gang discover a poor old man who has a championship race horse. The man agrees to let the boy ride his horse in a race, but first the gang must get enough money to pay for the race's entry fees.

This film is considered science fiction by many because the concept of television was still on the drawing boards in the 30's, but it's also a comedy. Stars Lyle Talbot, Mary Astor, Nat Pendleton, and Joyce Compton. Whether you would consider this scifi or not, you should find it entertaining anyway

Henry Bergman played the owner and Edna Purviance the owner's daughter. Albert Austin played an alarm clock owner who watches Charlie in dismay as he checks out the clock. This was one of Chaplin's more popular Mutual Films, mainly for the slapstick comedy he was famous for at the time
