John Palmer es antropólogo y representante legal de la comunidad Lapacho Mocho. Palmer arribó al Chaco Salteño (norte argentino) hace mas de 30 años con un doctorado de Oxford, con el objetivo estudiar la cultura wichí. Lentamente su vida se ha ido involucrando en su objeto de estudio y hoy convive con Tojueia, una joven mujer aborigen con la que tiene 4 hijos que balbucean inglés, wichi y español, y desconocen el mundo del cual proviene su padre.
