Il mare restituisce il corpo di una donna e Robert è accusato d'omicidio. Sfugge alla cattura e si reca in Cornovaglia alla ricerca del vero assassino, aiutato da una ragazza. L'assassino ha un tic all'occhio, fa il batterista in un orchestra ed è truccato da nero. Robert tenta di smascherarlo.
