Scarlet street is a 1945 American film noir directed by Fritz Lang about a painter who murders a famous artist. based on the French novel La Chienne ("The Bitch") by Georges de La Fouchardière, that previously had been dramatized on stage by André Mouëzy-Éon, and cinematically as La Chienne (1931 in film) by director Jean Renoir.. The principal actors Edward G. Robinson, Joan Bennett, and Dan Duryea had earlier appeared together in The woman in the window (1944) also directed by Fritz Lang.

The psychopathic grandson of Baron Frankenstein, calling himself Oliver Frank, has found an ideal position in sunny California as an assistant to chemist Carter Morton, and lives with him, his teenage daughter Trudy, and the gardener with whom he's secretly carrying on the family tradition. The Adventurer is a short comedy film written and directed by Charlie Chaplin. It is the last out of the twelve films made while he was under contract for the Mutual Film Corportation.
Chaplin plays an escaped convict on the run from prison guards. He falls into favor with a wealthy family after he saves a young lady (Edna Purviance) from drowning, but her suitor (Eric Campbell) does everything he can to have Chaplin apprehended by the officials.
