Charlie Chaplin's 36th Film

Psychadelic at times, this unusual and memorable movie version of Poe's "The Fall of the House of Usher" has some creative details, and although it is one of the more obscure versions of the story, it offers a distinctive look at a couple of its many interesting aspects. The style is deliberately murky, and it has not so much as an inter-title, so that you do need to know at least the basic plot in order to understand what is happening. It stars Walter Huston as Lincoln and Una Merkel, in her second speaking role, as Ann Rutledge. Her first speaking role was in a short film, Love's Old Sweet Song (1923 film) (1923) filmed in the Phonofilm sound-on-film process.

The North Star (also known as Armored Attack in the US) is a 1943 war film produced by Samuel Goldwyn Productions and distributed by RKO Radio Pictures. It was directed by Lewis Milestone, written by Lillian Hellman and featured production design by William Cameron Menzies. The film starred Anne Baxter, Dana Andrews, Walter Huston, Walter Brennan and Erich von Stroheim. A Christmas Carol, is a 1910 silent film directed by J. Searle Dawley for Edison Studios. It runs 10 minutes and is one of the earliest film adaptations of Charles Dickens' famous A Christmas Carol. It featured Marc McDermott as Ebenezer Scrooge and Charles Stanton Ogle as Bob Cratchit.

A stranger in town is a 1943 comedy-drama political film made by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It was directed by Roy Rowland (film director) and produced by Robert Sisk from an original screenplay by Isobel Lennart and William Kozlenko. The film had a music score by Daniele Amfitheatrof and Nathaniel Shilkret, and cinematography by Sidney Wagner (cinematographer).
