It stars Walter Huston as Lincoln and Una Merkel, in her second speaking role, as Ann Rutledge. Her first speaking role was in a short film, Love's Old Sweet Song (1923 film) (1923) filmed in the Phonofilm sound-on-film process.

Born to battle (1935) - Tom Tyler "Cyclone" Tom Saunders (Tom Tyler) is hired by a ranchers' association manager to investigate recent cattle rustling at one of their ranches and to see if a pair of nesters have anything to do with it. After discovering the nesters, Betty Powell (Jean Carmen) and her old father (Earl Dwire), are incapable of rustling, Tom turns his attention to the huge, swaggering bully of a foreman, Nate Lenox (Richard Alexander).

Mickey lives with his Uncle Pat, and they frequently have corned beef for dinner. The gang meanwhile steals fruit from the local merchant by using a funnel and a drainpipe. The police officer who catches them wants to teach them a lesson, and then goes to get corned beef dinner with Pat. Mickey is soon adopted by his Aunt Kate to make him into a little gentleman. Psychadelic at times, this unusual and memorable movie version of Poe's "The Fall of the House of Usher" has some creative details, and although it is one of the more obscure versions of the story, it offers a distinctive look at a couple of its many interesting aspects. The style is deliberately murky, and it has not so much as an inter-title, so that you do need to know at least the basic plot in order to understand what is happening. A couple rich sisters Geraldine and Carol Stewart (Dixie Lee and Helen Flint) have just found out that their financial planner has stolen all their money. Unable to pay a couple (Nydia Westman and Robert Armstrong) of their servants their back wages, they agree to let the pair stay in their home rent-free to make up for this pay. But, it is a bit rough at first, as these two society swells expect their old servants to behave like servants--but considering they're no longer paying them, this doesn't last.

A miner's treasure is falsely claimed by the corrupt local sheriff and the miner must fight to get it back. The soilers is a 1923 American silent film comedy film starring Stan Laurel, and was released in the same year as the Western (genre) silent movie drama The Spoilers (1923 film). The name of one character from the original, "McNamara", may have a parody in the name of the James Finlayson character.
