Sono in molti a ricordare ancora il 25 aprile del 1994: un milione di persone in piazza, a Milano, sotto la pioggia, la Lega che tenta di sfilare insieme con gli antifascisti, lo smarrimento di ritrovarsi al governo il partito di Fini appena nato da una costola del Msi. Per lunghi anni le celebrazioni del 25 Aprile si ripetevano stancamente e monotonamente, come smarrite in una dimensione retorica e celebrativa. La vittoria della destra alle elezioni politiche del marzo 1994 fu come un sussulto di consapevolezza e di entusiasmo.
