Jonah who lived in the whale
Jonah is a small child of 4 who lives happily with his family in Amsterdam.
One day the whole family is moved to Westerbork, a village north of Amsterdam which has been transformed into a clearance post for Dutch Jews, then to Bergen-Belsen, a transit camp in Germany where the Nazis keep hundreds of families of different nationalities to exchange them for German prisoners.
Jonah's family is divided and he remains with his mother.
