Wilipedia: Quelentaro es un grupo de folclore chileno, fundado en 1963 por los hermanos Gastón y Eduardo Guzmán, más Valericio Leppe, Arinaldo Álvarez y Eladio López, en la Central Rapel (Región de O'Higgins). Esto, debido al entorno laboral de los mencionados, no obstante los hermanos Guzmán eran oriundos de la ciudad de Angol, Provincia de Malleco, Región de la Araucanía.
Quelentaro en mapudungún significa «cola de traro». Sin embargo, el nombre de la banda no fue escogido por su etimología, sino por un estero cercano a la Central Rapel.
