Padre Josè Antonio da Silva ha assunto l?incarico nella Parrocchia di Sant?Ana (Itaquera, Sao Paulo) nel 1989 presso il Centro Fè e Alegria. In quell?anno ha cominciato anche il lavoro nell?asilo e dopo alcuni anni ha avviato un nuovo progetto per ragazzi portatori di handicap: la ?Casa da Fraternidade?. Ha mantenuto l'incarico di direttore-presidente in questo centro fino all'anno 2002 anno in cui è diventato vicario episcopale della diocesi di San Miguel Paulista. Oggi è presidente dell' Associazione Sociale Joilson de Jesus e parroco a Guaianazes.
