Dirigente di Ricerca dell'Istituto Superconduttori, Materiali Innovativi e Dispositivi del CNR. Docente presso l'Universitò degli Studi Tor Vergata di Roma. E' membro-corrispondente dell'Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere e al suo libro "Le kaleidoscope de la Physique" è stato assegnato il Prix Grand Public Roberval (Francia, 2015).

Laureato in Matematica, appassionato da sempre di enigmistica e quiz in tv. Ha partecipato una ventina di volte ai Campionati Internazionali di Giochi Matematici, vincendo nel 2000 tale competizione; da quel momento allena la Nazionale italiana. Ha composto migliaia di giochi matematici ed enigmistici. Ultimamente studia i giochi d'azzardo e propone conferenze su tale tema anche nelle scuole.

Guido Guidi - L'osservazione e la misura oggi come ieri alla base della conoscenza del Tempo Atmosferico Meteorologo e militare, Tenente Colonnello dell'Aeronautica Militare assegnato al Servizio Meteorologico della stessa e attivo in Rai. Con la sua collaborazione è nato il sito Climate Monitor, sui mutamenti climatici. Ha partecipato nel 1996 alla 13ª Spedizione Italiana in Antartide e, con il CNMCA , Centro Nazionale di Meteorologia e Climatologia Aeronautica, a varie missioni in operazioni di peacekeeping per ONU e NATO.

Mud and sand is a silent film starring Stan Laurel, that was filmed in 1922 in film. Laurel plays a matador who makes a fool of a famous Spanish dancer. The dancer demands revenge and, in the end, kills the matador by throwing a concealed brick at him after a fight with the fiercest bull in Spain. The moral of the story, shown in the last scene, is: "If you want to live long -- and be happy -- cut out the bull!" The title spoofs the Rudolph Valentino film Blood and Sand (1922 film), and many scenes directly parody that film.
