La retorica paternalistica che vuole i popoli sempre traviati dai tiranni, in voga da molti anni, è evoluzione della teodicea leibniziana. Apparente tentativo di assolvere l'umanità, puntualmente si trasforma in una forma di elitarismo. Come la teodicea si è sviluppata, da Leibniz al moralismo statunitense. E come incide sull'interpretazione dell'attualità.
