Si dedica allo studio dei processi chimici e delle operazioni di separazione, principalmente nell'ambito delle energie rinnovabili, della produzione di idrogeno da energia solare e dei dispositivi biomedici. E' responsabile per l'ENEA del progetto europeo SOL2HY2.
